The largest pool in the world is found at the San Alfonso del Mar Resort in Chile. The pool, built in 2006, covers an area of 20 acres and is filled with a mind-blowing 66 million gallons of water. Water for the pool is pumped from the Pacific Ocean, filtered and treated, which gives it the crystal-clear look of tropical waters. The gargantuan pool looks out over the Pacific Ocean, is surrounded by beautiful sand beaches, offers boating and water sports and has a depth of 11.5 feet in some areas. The Bondi Icebergs Club is a Winter Swimming Club located on the Bondi Beach just outside of Sydney. The club opened in 1929 with the goal of ensuring that local lifeguards stayed fit during the off season. The club has two pools, an area for food and drinks and a sauna. The pools are filled with seawater, and as you swim in the lap pool you might experience waves splashing you in the face. The club is open to members and guests, and anyone can visit for a small fee.
